Interpreting is the process of translating the spoken word from one language into the spoken word of another language.
Existing Forms of Interpreting Services
Simultaneous Interpretation is performed at the time of (simultaneous to) the presentation. Usually rendered in a large conference setting, this type of interpreting service typically requires the use of special interpreting equipment. Wireless receivers with headsets enable the audience to hear the language translation of their choice with reduced background noise.
Consecutive interpretation is usually performed in smaller settings than conferences, and allows the speaker to present a few sentences before pausing so the interpreter may render the interpretation into the other language.
Interpreting prices are based on required form of interpretation (Consecutive or Simultaneous). Interpreting rates vary depending on language and subject matter.
Language Translation is a process involving rewriting source language material into a target language, making it appear to have been originally written in that language. Rates include translation, proof-reading, reviewing, and project management.
