London: life in prison for throwing a 6-year-old French child from the 10th floor of the Tate Modern


Jonty Bravery, an 18-year-old British boy, has appeared in a UK criminal court for attempted murder of a 6-year-old child.

The facts took place on August 4, 2019 in London. A 6-year-old French child visited the Tate Modern Museum with his family on vacation when the 17-year-old accused pushed him from the 10th floor over the railing of the viewing platform .

The little boy had fallen 30 meters and landed on a roof on the 5th floor. He survived by a miracle thanks to the inclination of the roof.

The child suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and multiple fractures in the spine, legs and arms. “It is not known if he will fully recover,” said prosecutor Deanna Heer on Thursday.

The accused, who suffers from serious psychiatric problems, appeared by videoconference wearing a t-shirt and shorts, from the hospital. He was sentenced to life in prison on Friday with a 15-year security sentence.
