She dies of covid-19 without seeing her baby after giving birth on a ventilator
Aurora Chacon Esparza contracted covid-19 last June. Very quickly his condition deteriorated.
His breathing problems worsened to the point that the doctors put him on a ventilator.
7 months pregnant, doctors feared her baby was not getting enough oxygen and said she needed an emergency cesarean.
The 35-year-old had to give birth on a ventilator to her third child.
The newborn baby is called Andrea and is in good health.
But her mother died Sunday, July 19 at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota (United States), without having been able to meet her baby.
Her two other children, a 7-year-old daughter and her one-year-old younger brother, and her husband are devastated.
“My wife Aurora now rests in peace with God… She will be forever missed and remembered for the strong, loving and caring person she was.” testified Juan Duran, her husband.
