Released from prison due to covid-19, rapist visits victim’s home and shoots her
In October 2019, Ibrahim E. Bouaich kidnapped, raped and strangled Karla Elizabeth Dominguez Gonzalez in Alexandria, Virginia.
The victim had testified against him in court last December and the 33-year-old man was charged and remanded in custody pending trial.
But on April 9, he was released due to health measures taken against covid-19.
For his release, he had posted a $ 25,000 bond and was to stay at his home in Maryland.
On July 29, the thirty-old man went to his victim’s home in Alexandria and shot her dead, before fleeing.
A manhunt was then launched in the country to find him. A wanted notice was published in the media stating that the individual was “armed and dangerous”.
On Wednesday August 5, he was spotted in Alexandria. The police have managed to identify him. The fugitive preferred to shoot himself in the head rather than surrender. He died in hospital.
