Victorine’s body discovered: an investigation for kidnapping, forcible confinement and open murder
As part of the investigation into the death of Victorine Dartois, an investigation for kidnapping, forcible confinement and intentional homicide has been opened, the Vienna prosecutor announced at the press conference this evening.
Victorine Dartois, an 18-year-old student, disappeared Saturday night in Villefontaine, Isère, France while she was walking back to the family home located in the Fougères district.
She made a final call at 7 p.m. while she was near the Prairie Stadium to say she was on her way home and her phone has been off ever since.
This Monday, the tracking dogs traced her trail to the nature reserve of the Saint-Bonnet pond in Villefontaine located in the extension of the Prairie stadium.
Then investigators discovered the victim’s sneakers and handbag as well as a surgical mask in a small stream leading to the body of water.
The young woman’s lifeless body was found a few dozen meters away.
At this time, the findings have not been able to determine the cause of death. An autopsy is due on Tuesday.
Police called for witnesses.
