Body of a missing 32-year-old jogger recovered from the river
The lifeless body of a man was recovered from the Leie in Ghent, Belgium.
It was the police who made the macabre discovery on Sunday.
The victim has been identified: it is Pieter, a jogger who has been missing since Thursday.
That day, the 32-year-old man left his home in Lede for his jogging and never returned.
His family, worried about not having any more news, had posted a search notice on Facebook to find him. The police immediately began searching, before discovering the corpse on Sunday.
An autopsy will be performed in the coming days to find out the causes of death.
