Camille, 32, found killed by a bullet in the head
Camille, 32, was found on Monday, November 9, injured by a bullet in the head in a residence in Cap Macré, in the south-west of Martinique.
The firefighters, arrived on the scene, tried to resuscitate the young woman but could only note the death on the spot.
The 33-year-old man with whom she was staying was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.
After remaining silent, the man mentioned a marital dispute and a possible suicide of the victim, before speaking of an accidental gesture with the firearm.
The suspect is already known to the police for traffic offenses and drug consumption.
Camille Pierre, originally from Paliseul, left Belgium six years ago. She had been living in Martinique for a few months. She was the oldest of four daughters.
The police was in charge of the investigation.
