A 38-year-old locksmith, suspected of having murdered 26 women, was arrested Tuesday in Kazan, more than 800 km east of Moscow in Russia.
The acts were committed in twelve different regions of this country in 2011 and 2012 at the homes of the victims he burgled. His arrest follows systematic and meticulous work by investigators in this case. Biological traces and footprints from the crime scene have traced back to the suspect. Radik Taguirov was already known to the police for a theft committed in 2009. He is currently in police custody.
