Jessica Camilleri, 27, has appeared in a court of law in Australia for the particularly gruesome murder of her mother.
The facts took place on July 20, 2019, in Sidney. The accused, aged 25 at the time, stabbed her 57-year-old mother 200 times at her home. She then beheaded her, cut her tongue and gouged out her eyes. She then put the head of the 50-year-old in the driveway of the house. The police, who arrived at the scene, arrested the murderer in the garden which was in front of the neighbors’ house. A four-year-old family member witnessed the murder. Shocked by the crime scene, some police officers needed psychological support.
Jessica Camilleri was obsessed with horror films, especially the more gory ones like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
The expert revealed that she suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mild mental disability and autism spectrum disorder.
The accused was ultimately declared irresponsible for her actions by the jurors because of her mental health at the time of the events. She was found not guilty of murder. His sentence will be pronounced next February.
