Adam Roth, 36, appeared in a court of law in the United States for the murders of his wife and his sister-in-law and the attempted murders of his other sister-in-law and his mother-in-law.
The facts unfolded last March in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The 30-year-old man repeatedly stabbed his wife, his mother-in-law, his two sisters-in-law and even the dog, while they were all at the table. He committed this massacre in order to protect the victims against Covid-19. From the start of the pandemic, Adam Roth began to obsess over the virus until he became completely paranoid. He literally went after his victims. While they were all eating in the kitchen, he grabbed a knife and stabbed them.
Dominique, his wife, asked “why did he do that”, before succumbing to the 19 stab wounds she received.
“It’s good, I’m done,” said the suspect on his side when the police arrived. He explained to the police “that the coronavirus was happening and that he had to save his family”.
Adam Roth escaped the death penalty because jurors felt he was mentally irresponsible at the time. He was sentenced Monday to be imprisoned for life in a psychiatric hospital.
