Paula, a 21-year-old rapper, found dead hanged
Paula Monica Gimenez’s lifeless body was found on Christmas Day at her home in Argentina.
The 21-year-old rapper, better known as “Gemma” or “Chiny”, was found dead hanging with a cable around her neck.
Initially, the suicide trail was privileged. But investigators found the victim had posted disturbing social media messages before her death.
She said she “feared” for her life and felt “threatened”. Suspicion quickly fell on the ex-boyfriend of the young woman, a certain Franco.
She was the last person to see her alive.
After celebrating Christmas with her friends, Paula returned home, accompanied by the suspect who had attended the party. He would have stayed at her house for about twenty minutes.
When questioned, Franco denied being responsible for Paula’s death. Some of the victim’s neighbors described their relationship as “violent” and “toxic”.
The police also discovered that Franco had threatened the artist and her daughter using fake social media accounts: “If you ever come near me, you and your daughter will regret it”.
The victim was the mother of a 6-year-old girl from a previous relationship.
