Muslim Hands, an international relief organisation, is looking to expand its fundraising team. Our Cape Town office is recruiting an enthusiastic and talented individual to grow our presence and fundraising activities across South Africa.

We are looking for a smart, energetic, Graphic Designer to join our team. Working closely with our Programmes department in Cape Town and design team in the UK, you will develop engaging fundraising content for print and digital including our social media channels and website.

Position Summary

Responsibilities:
Design print media advertisements using ADOBE CC Package including PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator and Update the Muslim Hands SA website

Essential:
Good knowledge of print design and the print process
Highly organized, self-motivated and a team player with excellent follow through
Must be able to work effectively and quickly
Ability to multi-task and prioritize as well as flexible in adjusting to changing work needs
Must be detail oriented, and able to manage numerous and varied responsibilities
Good organisational and communication skills are also required, as you’ll need to keep track of all the projects you work on
Minimum 3-years’ experience in delivering brilliant design for print and digital channels
Advertising design knowledge and the ability to apply brand guidelines and adapt existing designs
A digital/social native whose layout thinking starts online
Able to take ownership of briefings – from briefing, chasing the team for information and feedback, to artworking and meeting deadlines
Hands on experience with design, image selection, typography, colour, digital layout design, print production
Detail oriented – especially with typography
Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Knowledge of all stages of basic video editing (crops, title cards, creating gifs in Photoshop or After Effects)
Knowledge of Umbraco CMS or similar web editing software
Confidence in adapting design ideas to different formats (print, social media, website, blog)

Desirable:
Experience in using social media in a professional role
ADOBE Audition / ADOBE After Effects / ADOBE Primere Pro
In-house design and NGO experience
Interest in photography, illustration, film, and copy-writing
